5th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament

WHEN: 12:30 PM., Friday, July 15th, 2011 (11:00 AM registration; 12:30 PM shotgun tee-off)
WHERE: Scenic and challenging Lake Panorama National Golf Course located just north of Panora, Iowa. Take IA Hwy 4 North to the Church and Cemetery, turn west, and follow the signs to the course.
WHY: To honor Nicole’s memory by raising money to support her passion—legal advocacy for those less fortunate and unable to obtain those services for themselves--through:
  • The Nicole Richardson Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award given annually to a University of Oregon (Nicole’s alma mater) graduating law student who has shown that same passion throughout law school and intends to practice in the area of public defense following graduation.
  • The Colorado State Public Defender’s (Nicole’s employer) Nicole Lynn Richardson Scholarship Fund which funds tuition for public defenders to receive training at the Western Trial Advocacy Institute.
  • The Iowa Public Defenders Association to fund a Basic Training Program for attorneys working in the Iowa State Public Defender system.
  • The Iowa Donor Network, which is dedicated to the promotion and support of organ donation.

WHAT ELSE:
  • Tournament will be scramble format (4-person best shot).
  • Cost is $85 per person ($340 per team); includes greens fee, cart, box lunch & prime rib dinner.
  • Great flight, flag & raffle prizes and live and silent auction items.
  • $5,000 prizes awarded for all holes-in-one on any of four par 3’s during the tournament.
